Lagan Indian Tapas offers a vibrant dining experience in Nottingham city centre, combining the bold flavours of Indian cuisine with a modern tapas-style format. The casual yet inviting atmosphere, paired with attentive customer service, sets the stage for an enjoyable meal.

Firstly, I’ll talk about the tapas element of their menu which shines through given its stunning presentation and diverse offering. The onion Bhaji delivers a satisfying crunch, coated in a well-spiced batter that isn’t overly greasy and is a great portion size too.

The chilli chicken brings a punch of heat, balanced by the sweetness of sautéed onions and peppers, and the sauce perfectly coats the tender chicken. Their chicken tacos offer a real fusion twist to Indian cuisine, blending crispy taco shells with vibrant Indian spices, creating a delightful crossover of textures and flavours. The seek kebab, with its juicy, spiced lamb mince, cooked in a tandoor, is an absolute must-try, showcasing traditional techniques with a bold and smoky flavour.

For our main course we decided to share their Thali which is an ideal way to try a plethora of flavours, dishes and textures.
The combination of curries such as lamb Desi, Lagan Chicken, Butter Chicken and Tadka daal offers a range of flavours, from the robust and spicy to the creamy and comforting. Accompanied by, yoghurt, popadoms, rice and naan, this dish is a well-rounded feast. The Gulab jamun sweet treat at the end adds a delightful touch, making the thali an excellent choice for both newcomers to Indian cuisine and seasoned enthusiasts.

Lagan Indian Tapas successfully marries the rich traditions of Indian cuisine with the dynamic appeal of tapas dining. Whether you’re exploring their flavorful small plates or indulging in the variety-packed thali, this Nottingham eatery is a must-visit for food lovers seeking bold flavours and a lively atmosphere.
They have some great offers on at the moment, making dining out more affordable. Between 4pm and 6pm daily you can get an alcoholic drink and 3 tapas dishes for just £19.99. Whilst there’s also a great offer on their cocktail menu where you can get any 2 cocktails for £10, available all week. However, a special mention to their watermelon sugar mocktail which was incredibly refreshing.
